I feel that my portfolio shows a high standard across a wide range of skills, all of which interest me. Because of this, I feel I have yet to find my particular niche in the wide world of multimedia, so while I cannot be as specific as some about my five year plan, it would be wrong to assume I am wandering without direction.

At the time of writing this statement, 5 years into the future is the start of 2011. My intention is to have completed a placement year and gone on to graduate my multimedia course at Brunel university. After graduation I plan to seek employment for a company, possibly the placement company, carrying out whatever tasks they see fit to assign me to the best of my ability. In the field I have chosen, if that is i chose to specialise in any single aspect of multimedia. I also hope to be able to find the time to do some freelance work, and may consider electing it as my sole source of income if it seems viable.

I am not being specific about the company, or even field I want to be working in at the start of 2011 for a particular reason. I have been told on numerous occasions, by several individuals that a placement year changes a student in several ways. Maturity, life goals and the career paths can all be heavily influenced by this placement. It is for this reason that I am not committing myself to a particular job title, company, or income; as all these things are choices I will make on completion of my course. I am still open minded about where I will be in five years time, and I refuse to tie myself down with these words while I am still growing as a designer and an individual.

All I can say for certain is that I hope to be financially secure, enjoying my work and giving all I can give to whatever I set my mind to.
